A Star Path is a task-and-reward system inside Disney Dreamlight Valley. Complete duties, earn that path’s currency and redeem themed rewards. Seasonal paths change throughout the year.
The basic loop
Think of a seasonal Star Path as a themed checklist with a reward shop attached. Complete activities in the game, collect the path’s tokens and spend them on its available rewards. Some items belong to the standard track; others require the optional Premium track.
The duties can involve familiar activities such as fishing, cooking and taking photographs. Sometimes the wording is a character clue rather than an explicit item name.
How often do Star Paths happen?
They are recurring throughout the year, rather than a single annual event. Historical lists record six new seasonal paths in 2024 and six in 2025. That is a useful indication of the past cadence, not a promise of a fixed future schedule.
Each path has its own theme, tasks and dates. Check the live event screen for the current one.
The permanent introductory path
There is now an exception to the seasonal format: Astronomer’s Journey is a permanent introductory Star Path. The September 2026 announcement explains that players begin it after unlocking their first Realm and speaking to Merlin. It can be completed at your own pace.
Platform availability can differ. Check the latest official information for your edition of the game.
Where the Pumpkin King’s door fits
The game is Disney Dreamlight Valley. The activity system is Star Path. The seasonal edition is Haunting Elegance. “Take a photo of the Pumpkin King’s door” is one routine duty within that edition.
